By Andrew Harris
So much great music comes out of upstate NY !! Geneseo NY has always been a hotspot for creative energy, between SUNY and BUZZO and many interesting charactars, the music never stops in this college town. Sarah DeVito is a connsumate fan and student of all different jams, genres, and music scenes.
Sarah’s most recent interviews have be sit downs with three guys with strong local ties and impressive national touring tales that span a few decades. Episode 7 is with Brian Williams who from the git-go tells Sarah he grew up on 1950’s rock n roll. From is roots in the Rochester area music world to playing with greats like “Asleep at the Wheel,” Williams offers insight as a “mature” member of the Western New York music universe.
Have you heard of the “Giant Panda Gorilla Dub Squad?” Meet one of the founders of that group, Matt O’Brian who has lots of new stuff like “Flying Object.” Matt gives some amazing insight in to his creative process, what he enjoys most lately, and how his love for music started.
Pete Griffith has been on some wild musical journey’s… from blues to soul to heavy metal to Japan!! Hear about how he found is sweet spot with soul music and about playing in front of thousands in Japan.
