Media Release: Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child Arrest
Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on June 10, 2024, Investigators of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested Tyler A. Johnson, age 32, of Hopper Hill Road, Troupsburg, New York, following an investigation of a report from the Federal Bureau of Investigation of persons engaging in on-line discussions of human sex trafficking. It is alleged that Mr. Johnson engaged in a conversation regarding human sex trafficking of a minor child. It is also alleged that Mr. Johnson possessed a video depicting a sexual performance by a child. Mr. Johnson was charged with Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class E Felony, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Mr. Johnson was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and released.
