Congressman Nick Langworthy announces a $75,000 grant for Steuben County’s Route 54 Corridor analysis, boosting local economic growth.
Congressman Nick Langworthy has secured a $75,000 grant for the Steuben County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) from the Appalachian Regional Commission. The funding is intended to support a detailed analysis of the Route 54 Corridor, a key area for future development.
Langworthy emphasized the significance of this grant, stating, “Steuben County has a proud history as a manufacturing powerhouse, and this funding will help us build on that legacy. By investing in necessary site analyses, we can attract new advanced manufacturing companies, create jobs, and strengthen the local economy.”
Steuben County IDA Director Jamie Johnson explained that the grant will be used to evaluate the developability of vacant lands along the Route 54 Corridor. “We want to ensure future opportunities are well planned and that necessary approvals are in place to support ongoing growth in the Bath community,” Johnson said.
