On Christmas Eve morning around 5:47 a.m., a four-door sedan was involved in a roll-over accident on County Road 15 in Allen.
Angelica Fire and Rescue responded as the man was trapped inside the vehicle.
It turned out the driver was a soldier from Fort Drum on his way home to Michigan for Christmas.
The soldier had minor injuries and was taken by MTS ambulance to Jones Memorial Hospital for evaluation.
Fire and rescue officials said they hoped he would be released and find a way home.
