The commendations come courtesy of the Yates Prevention Coalition and the Yates County Public Health department, who, through their joint efforts, aim to combat adolescent tobacco use effectively. Their evaluation, covering the months of July through September in 2023, highlights the businesses that stood firm in upholding the New York State Adolescent Tobacco Use Prevention Act.
This legislation plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the health of the county’s youth by delaying the onset of tobacco use.
