Staff Report / June 6, 2025
The annual Corning Farmers Market kicked off its 2025 season today, drawing bright, sunny weather and healthy crowds to Riverfront Centennial Park. Operated by the Gaffer District, this weekly Thursday event offers more than just fresh produce—it celebrates community vibrancy and local culture.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Thursday through October 30, the market showcases an array of local specialties, including seasonal fruits and vegetables, artisanal cheeses, baked goods, specialty meats, honey, cider, and fresh flowers. Craft vendors and food trucks supplement the experience, interspersed with live music and opportunities to engage with local artisans.
In a bid to enliven the market, Director of Events Marshall Ferrari emphasized that the 2025 season will include weekly new vendors, live performances, scavenger hunts, and periodic “activations.” Beginning June 29, the market will feature a scavenger‑hunt series—sponsored by East Farmers Credit Bank—where attendees can explore booths to find hidden treasures and earn prizes.
“We’ll have a bunch of activations throughout the year, we’ll have music at the markets, we’ll have new vendors every week, we’ll have scavenger hunts throughout the year, just make sure to follow the Gaffer District on socials to see everything going on at the farmers market,” said Director of Events, Marshall Ferrari.
