Keuka College Plans Special Community Event on Concussions and Their Impact

Staff Report / February 22, 2026

Keuka College will present a special evening focused on concussions and their impact, an event aimed at raising awareness about this important health issue. The program, titled “Concussions and the Impact,” is scheduled to take place on campus in the coming weeks and is open to students, families, and members of the community.

Organizers say the event will explore the causes and effects of concussions — traumatic brain injuries that can result from sports, accidents, or other head impacts — and will offer guidance on symptoms, treatment, and recovery. Experts in health and sports medicine are expected to share insights and answer questions from attendees.

The college hopes the evening will deepen local understanding of concussion prevention and management, particularly for athletes and young adults who may be at greater risk. A Q&A session and educational materials will be available to help participants learn how to recognize warning signs and support someone recovering from a head injury.

Further details, including specific date, time, and featured speakers, were to be provided by Keuka College as the event approaches.
