Earlier this month, Keuka Spring Vineyards participated in CabFrancForward 2026, a gathering dedicated entirely to one remarkable grape: Cabernet Franc.
Cabernet Franc has become one of the defining red varieties of the Finger Lakes. It thrives in our cool climate and responds beautifully to the nuances of site and season. The energy throughout the day reflected just how much excitement surrounds this grape right now.
For us, it was an opportunity to share just how versatile Cabernet Franc can be. We poured three distinct expressions:
- 2025 Dry Rosé, bright and refreshing
- 2024 Cabernet Franc, layered and structured
- 2024 Epic, vibrant with warm spice and a lively finish
What became clear to guests throughout the event is that the Cabernet Franc grape does not produce just one style of wine. It can be vibrant and lifted, structured and savory, or layered and entirely unique.
That range is what makes Cabernet Franc so compelling and why it continues to earn its place at the table. Whether paired with a quiet dinner at home or shared among friends, these wines reflect the place and season that shaped them.
