Celebrate National Chardonnay Day, the Finger Lakes Way

When most people hear “Chardonnay,” they picture something buttery and oak-heavy. There’s another side to this grape entirely, one that only reveals itself where the growing season is long, temperatures are cool, and vines must work for every bit of ripeness they can earn.

That’s the Finger Lakes.

Here, grapes ripen slowly, building layered flavors while holding onto their natural acidity. The result is Chardonnay with energy and precision: crisp apple and citrus, fresh cream and wet stone. Wines that feel alive in the glass and belong on the table.

Keuka Lake sits at roughly 800 feet above sea level, where hillside slopes and lake temperatures work together to give our fruit the time it needs. Our team has spent decades learning to work with this place, not against it.
