Watkins Glen NY – Maguire Automotive Group has announced plans to close its Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram dealership in Watkins Glen, ending vehicle sales operations at the North Franklin Street location. Company officials said sales activities will be consolidated at the group’s larger Ithaca dealership, while service and parts support for customers will continue through other Maguire locations in the region. The closure is part of an effort to streamline operations and better utilize resources across the company’s dealership network.
According to the company, employees affected by the closure will be offered opportunities at other Maguire dealerships whenever possible. Officials said customers with existing vehicle purchases, service agreements, warranties, and maintenance needs will continue to receive support through the company’s remaining locations. The Watkins Glen dealership has been part of Maguire’s Finger Lakes presence, serving customers in Schuyler County and surrounding communities.
Maguire Automotive Group operates multiple dealerships across New York and has continued to adjust its portfolio in recent years through acquisitions and operational changes. The family-owned company, which traces its roots to a single Ford dealership established in 1977, now represents numerous automotive brands throughout the state.
