PENN YAN — Yates County officials have formally approved the creation of specialized rescue teams, advancing a proposal that was first discussed earlier this year as county leaders evaluated ways to strengthen emergency response capabilities. The approval follows months of review by county officials and emergency services personnel who examined how dedicated teams could address technical rescue incidents requiring specialized training and equipment.
