We are proud to share that this week Heron Hill Winery was recognized with the Lake Friendly Living Award at the Annual Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association (CLWA) annual meeting.
This award reflects our ongoing commitment to preserving the lakes, landscapes, and natural resources that define the Finger Lakes and support our community, agriculture, and local economy.
Through our partnership with the Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association, we donate $2 from every bottle of our CLWA Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc sold back to the organization. In addition, we contributed a portion of our tasting fees throughout the 2025 year. Together, these efforts resulted in a total donation of $4,289.00 in 2025 to support watershed protection, education, and stewardship initiatives.

Sustainability has always been at the heart of Heron Hill Winery. In fact, our winery was built on the belief that great wine begins with responsible stewardship of the land. We were also among the first wineries in the Finger Lakes to achieve vineyard certification through the New York Sustainable Winegrowing Program, demonstrating our long-standing commitment to environmentally responsible farming practices.
