GORHAM — A Yates County motorcyclist was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash in the Town of Gorham. According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, emergency crews were dispatched to the scene at the intersection of County Road 11 and Long Point Road shortly after the collision was reported. The crash involved a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle.
Investigators said a vehicle was attempting to turn onto County Road 11 when it collided with an oncoming motorcycle being operated by a man, 62-year-old John Bucklaew, from Middlesex. The impact caused significant damage, and first responders responded to provide emergency assistance at the scene. The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in the crash.
Due to the severity of his injuries, the Middlesex man was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester for treatment. The driver of the passenger vehicle remained at the scene and was issued traffic citations in connection with the crash.
