BATH — The dog days of summer are officially here, but the Dormann Library is keeping things cool with a newly revealed mid-summer programming schedule designed to entertain and educate residents of all ages. As part of its 2026 Summer Learning Program, the library has unveiled a diverse list of six featured events rolling out this July to encourage community connection, wellness, and local exploration. The lineup kicks off with high-energy entertainment and local music before transitioning into active outdoor meetups and brain-teasing group activities.
By weaving together the arts, physical fitness, and interactive play, the library’s curated July calendar ensures that local families have no shortage of free, engaging activities right in their backyard:
FunThatPops Magic Production: A high-energy, wondrous magic show explicitly themed around the 2026 Summer Learning Program to inspire young explorers.
Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes Brass Quintet: A live, in-person musical storytelling session featuring a performance of Dr. Daniel N. Thrower’s “Barb the Band Bat,” which highlights the tale of a surprised librarian.
Guided Walking Club Hikes: Community excursions organized in partnership with the Mossy Bank Park Committee, taking participants on weekly guided treks to explore various local trails and natural scenery.
Drop-In Storytime with Miss Joyce: A recurring weekly gathering centered in the library’s main table area, where local children can enjoy custom-curated book readings and classic tales.
Gentle Yoga with Jackie: A meditative, slow-flow instructional class led by Alariaus Yoga’s Jackie Havens inside the library’s Discovery Kids Classroom, welcoming all experience levels from teens to seniors.
Team Escape Room Challenge: A high-stakes, puzzle-solving event hosted in the library’s Community Room, offering prizes to the fastest team to successfully decode the clues and escape.
