Donate today so we can improve education together.
Studies show that an education is key to overcoming poverty. But many families are struggling and are unable to provide the basic school supplies their children need to be effective. Additionally, many schools are facing severe budget cuts and lack the funding to purchase necessary supplies.
How can you help?
You can help by donating new backpacks and school supplies, which will be provided to the Wayne County Community Schools Programs to give to families in need. Donations are accepted now until August 21, 2026.
School supply donations needed:
- Backpacks (some districts require clear)
- No. 2 pencils
- Crayons
- Markers
- Two-pocket folders
- Composition or spiral notebooks
Additional Items:
- Post-it notes with arrows
- Glue sticks
- 12-inch rulers
- Loose-leaf paper
- Hand sanitizer
- Gift cards (restaurants, sporting goods stores, Target, Wal-mart, Wegmans, Tops, Aldi, Dollar General, hair salons, pharmacy, etc.)
- Feminine hygiene products
- Underwear (size 5-10)
- Deodorant
- Tissues
- Water bottles
- Socks
- Healthy, shelf stable snacks
- Bed bug kits
Drop them off, or we’ll pick them up.

- Monday – Thursday: 8:00 am – 6:30 pm
- Friday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
- Saturday: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
