CANANDAIGUA, NY — Historic Downtown Canandaigua invites residents and visitors to
experience an evening of creativity, connection, and community during the Final Fridays Art
Walk on Friday, July 31, from 3:00–8:00 PM. This month’s event, themed “Inspired by the
Lakes,” will showcase local artists, galleries, interactive experiences, live music, artisan goods,
and downtown businesses throughout the historic district.
Guests are encouraged to stroll through downtown at their own pace, discovering unique
exhibits, meeting artists, enjoying live performances, and participating in hands-on creative
activities. The Art Walk celebrates the thriving arts community that makes Downtown
Canandaigua a vibrant destination while encouraging visitors to explore the many shops,
restaurants, and galleries along the way.
“This event is all about celebrating creativity while bringing people together to experience
everything our downtown has to offer,” said Denise Chaapel, Director of the Historic Downtown
Canandaigua Business Improvement District. “Whether you’re an art enthusiast, a first-time
visitor, or simply looking for a fun summer evening, Final Fridays offers something for
everyone.”
Participating Stops Include:
● Gallery 32 – Explore Inspiration, an OCAC Members Exhibition featuring artists Mike
Nyerges, Tina Beyea, and Kim Ferguson. Meet the artists and discover the stories behind
their work.
● Art Space 36 – Celebrate Wayne Williams’ Summer Soirée window installation and
create your own tarot card during an interactive workshop.
● Sights & Shades – Attend the opening of Anna Kern’s newest collection and meet the
artist during a special reception beginning at 5:30 PM.
● Canandaigua Record Exchange – Celebrate Ariana Grande’s newest release during a
6:00 PM Listening Party with giveaways and prizes.
● Peacemaker Brewing Company – Enjoy The Art of Craft Brews with handcrafted beer
and live music by the Ben Cole Band from 6:00–9:00 PM.
● Anna Kern Gallery – Celebrate Downtown Canandaigua’s newest gallery while
exploring Anna Kern’s inspiring collection of original artwork.
● Mystic Mermaid Artisan Collective – Browse a thoughtfully curated collection of
handcrafted artwork and unique artisan gifts.
● Tavern Off Main – Relax with live music by The Rehabenaros from 7:00–10:00 PM.
● Sweet Expressions – Experience The Art of Chocolate with handcrafted chocolate
demonstrations at 4:30 PM and 6:30 PM.
● Vital Garnish – Participate in the community art installation “Love Over All.” Donate a
piece of wall art to become part of a permanent collaborative display celebrating
creativity, kindness, and connection.
Visitors who stroll to each participating stop and complete their Art Walk guide will be entered
for a chance to win $100 in Downtown Canandaigua Gift Certificates.
Final Fridays Art Walk is designed to highlight the exceptional artists, galleries, businesses, and
creative entrepreneurs that make Downtown Canandaigua one of the Finger Lakes’ premier arts
and cultural destinations.
