CORNING, N.Y. — First responders in Steuben County will go head-to-head for a good cause as the Corning Police Department and Corning Fire Department square off in a “Battle of the Badges” charity softball game.
The slow-pitch matchup is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, at 6:00 p.m. at the Corning Cinderella Softball Fields, located at 12 Spruce Street. All proceeds from the event will directly benefit the Corning-Painted Post (CPP) Special Olympics team.
Key event details, ticket prices, and highlights include:
- Featured Matchup: A charity slow-pitch softball game pitting local police officers against firefighters.
- Food & Fundraising: Attendees can purchase chicken BBQ meals and participate in a 50/50 raffle, with all proceeds supporting local Special Olympics athletes.
