Rochester, NY – Rochester Regional Health’s Moxi delivery robots have reached a major milestone this month, completing more than 100,000 deliveries across Rochester General Hospital and Unity Hospital and giving back more than 50,000 hours to team members.
Since rolling into Rochester Regional Health in 2023, Moxi has been on the move – completing more than 75,000 deliveries at Rochester General Hospital and more than 25,000 at Unity Hospital. Along the way, Moxi has helped save RRH team members approximately 55,000 miles of walking and 120 million steps.
Moxi, a collaborative robot developed by Diligent Robotics, supports hospital teams by transporting items such as medications, supplies, and laboratory specimens throughout the hospitals. By taking on routine delivery tasks, Moxi helps team members spend less time on transportation and more time focused on patients.
“We recognize that our team members are stretched already and we need to make their workday easier,” said Casey Wilbert, Vice President of Pharmacy and Imaging Services for Rochester Regional Health. “Moxi is the perfect example of taking a task that does not require a person to do it and utilizing innovation to take Rochester Regional Health to the next level.”
