Drivers and visitors planning to travel through Birdseye Hollow State Forest in Steuben County will face temporary travel disruptions starting next month due to a bridge replacement project.
According to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), the Sonora Road Bridge—which spans Mud Creek between Robie Road and Kettle Road—will close on Tuesday, September 8. County crews will demolish the existing structure and construct a replacement bridge over a scheduled nine-week period.
