Patricia Hotchkiss Ledford, 70, of Lincolnton, N.C. (formerly of Wellsville, NY) passed peacefully on September 4, 2026.
She is survived by her children: Nicole of Morganton, NC, Hartrick III “Buddy” (Kristal) of Wellsville, NY, Jennifer (Gary) of Woodstock, GA; grandchildren: Meche’, Dillon, Dakota, Zackery, Hartrick IV “BJ”, and great-grandchildren: Kade, Bentley, Joseph, Ryder, Chloe, Kompton, Landon. Also surviving are her siblings: Deborah, Sandi, Alan Todd, Lucinda, Jamie, and Dionne, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a stepson, Blake.
She was predeceased by her parents, Lois and Lester Hotchkiss; a brother, Marty; a nephew, Casey; a niece, Lois; her angel baby boy; one of her greatest loves, Larry Powell; as well as her beloved fur babies, Peewee and Poodle Poot.
Pat (Patty, as she was known to her family) lived her life on her own terms. She had a resilience in life and ability to overcome obstacles that surpassed most. Her best childhood memories included those she spent with her grandparents, Earl and Mary Hotchkiss in Belfast, NY. She enjoyed fishing, especially the “Genessee”, sitting on a beach, camping in the (Blue Ridge) Mountains, and watching her hummingbirds, with a cold beverage, whenever opportunity presented. Her love for (Motown) music was most evident as she could often be found dancing, especially when any Elvis song was playing. She was the proudest of her children and their successes, not hesitating to share such with anyone.
Pat was a member of the Wellsville Class of 1973, attended Alfred State, and a past member of the Lincoln County VFW Auxiliary. Throughout the years, Pat could be found serving the customers in Lincolnton at the Lincoln House, Ranch House, and then, the House of Pizza, until her retirement.
Her family will be receiving those who wish at Warlick Funeral Home, 125 Dave Warlick Drive, Lincolnton, NC on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 3pm through 6pm. No formal service will be held, at her request.
