CAMPBELL – The Campbell-Savona Central School District has named Air Force veteran, educator, and librarian Kristopher Dempster as its CSCS Alumni Spotlight honoree for September.
Dempster, a 1994 graduate of Campbell-Savona, served an overseas tour of duty during his military service in the United States Air Force. Following his honorable discharge, Dempster pursued higher education in North Carolina, earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Campbell University before going on to complete a Master’s Degree in Library Science.
Throughout his career in public service and education, Dempster has worked across various roles—teaching high school mathematics, coaching youth soccer, and driving school buses. He is currently celebrating a 20-year milestone as a librarian with the Richland County Public Library in Columbia, South Carolina. In addition to his professional work, Dempster actively researches local history, focusing on the heritage and historical preservation of the Campbell-Savona community.
