Albert M. Patterson Jr. was born July 8, 1938 in Wellsville, NY. The son of the late Albert M. Patterson Sr. and Beatrice VanCuren Patterson.
Albert graduated from Wellsville High School and he attended SUNY Binghamton while working at the First National Bank in Newark Valley.
Albert married his wife Barbara Ann Lynady on August 19, 1957, and have been married for 69 years. He joined the Citizens National Bank as an installment lender in 1969 and was promoted through the ranks until he retired as a Vice President from the Buffalo main office in 2000.
Albert and his wife Barbara enjoyed traveling and spending the winters in Myrtle Beach. They enjoyed many wonderful summers on Lake Ontario, traveling to many Canadian and U.S. ports from their Cabin Cruiser.
He was pre-deceased by his sister-in-law: Sally Lynady.
Albert is survived by his loving wife Barbara; his son and daughter-in-law: Richard and Patricia Patterson, and grandson Shawn Patterson all of Schenactady, NY; Daughter and son-in-law: Lynn and Wade Dilday of Ahoski, NC; granddaughters: Stephanie Smith of Harrisburg, PA; Kathy and Clint Williams of Plymouth, NC; 6 great grandchildren; brother-in-law: David Lynady of Elmira Heights, NY; several cousins, and a host of caring friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on
Wednesday October 14, 2026 from 4-6 PM. Mr. Patterson’s Funeral Services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 6 PM. He will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Wellsville, NY.
