Thompson Health welcomes Dr. Chester Nakamura

University of Rochester Medicine Thompson Health announces that Dr. Chester Nakamura has joined the Internal Medicine practice at its Canandaigua Medical Group.
Dr. Nakamura has a Master of Public Health from San Diego State University. After graduating from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, La., he completed residencies in internal medicine at both the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco and the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC). In addition, he completed both a residency and a fellowship in radiation oncology at URMC. He is board certified in internal medicine.
For more than 25 years, Dr. Nakamura has worked in a variety of roles and settings throughout the Rochester and Finger Lakes regions. Most recently, he was Rochester Regional Health’s director of Primary Care Relations for the Eastern Region as well as its lead physician.
