NAPLES — Emergency crews from multiple local departments converged on Seman Road early Sunday morning after a fast-moving fire leveled two barns along with vehicles and agricultural machinery kept inside.
First responders were dispatched to the property at approximately 1:26 a.m. Upon arrival, Ontario County sheriff’s deputies found initial heavy fire completely consuming one of the outbuildings. While fire personnel focused efforts on shielding an adjacent residence from the intense heat, the blaze extended across to a second parallel barn, ultimately leaving both structures fully engulfed.
The response brought a coordinated mobilization of mutual aid to the Seman Road site, including:
- Fire Departments: Naples, Bristol, Cheshire, VA, Honeoye, Middlesex, Atlanta, and Cohocton
- Emergency Medical Services: Naples EMS and Canandaigua EMS
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office has launched an inquiry into the incident, and the investigation into the blaze remains underway.
