A glimpse of Steuben County in late August
From Janie Ferguson, Cameron Mills NY
It is currently fifty-nine degrees, and sunny here in Cameron Mills, NY at noon. With only a high of sixty-three expected today.

This week I begin with a foxy-red brown thrasher in a bush along the Canisteo River that I spotted this morning. When I first saw him I thought it was a young hawk. This is the first time I’ve captured a shot of one of them. Which is always exciting.
Next, a subtly beautiful sunset above this farmland in Cameron, NY, and a delightfully bright goldfinch.

My grandchildren and I delighted in watching Catherine painting a whimsical mural for the Dormann Library in Bath yesterday. She turned to smile here after we chatted a bit, then she continued on with her work.

I’m ending with a sweet, little Caroline wren who is enjoying our bird seed. There was a pair of them visiting here this week.

I hope you all have a good and safe Labor Day weekend.
