Chris Knuth and Brandon Grace join PYPD

The Penn Yan Police Department would like to congratulate Officer Chris Knuth who graduated the Southern Tier Law Enforcement Academy. Chris is an Elmira native and a full time Elmira Firefighter who is joining the police department as a part time officer.
Chris graduated Elmira High School before attending Corning Community College and the University of Buffalo. We are extremely proud of Chris for all of his hard work and commitment to make this happen and wish him the best.
The Penn Yan Police Department would like to congratulate Officer Brandon Grace who graduated from the Finger Lakes Law Enforcement Academy. Brandon is a Penn Yan native who graduated from Penn Yan High School before going on to attend Finger Lakes Community College and SUNY Potsdam where he studied Criminal Justice. Brandon has previous experience working as a Yates County probation Officer and will be a great fit at the police department. Congratulations Brandon!
