Bath Officials Plan Demolition of Long-Vacant Exchange Street Building, Future Parking Lot Proposed

A message from Mayor Michael H. Sweet of the Village of Bath, New York.

“The Village of Bath, New York Board has agreed to collaborate with Steuben County, NY to acquire a building on Exchange Street, demolish the structure, and repurpose the site as a parking lot. This building has posed a hazard to the community for several years and will be razed.”

An issue has arrived with the purchase of the parcel due to a minor conflict with a previous owners estate. The issue should be solved within the next few months and planned demolition will be the next phase.
