Steuben County officials continue to stress precaution due to flooding.
“Be aware, be flood prepared, a flooding can happen at any time in Steuben County we’ve seen it any season of the year,” said Tim Marshall, the Director of Public Safety for Steuben County. “You need to know what your best evacuation routes are, how to reach safety, and get to higher ground. The important thing to remember is don’t drive your vehicle through flood waters.”
According to a press release from Steuben County, people should be cautious when driving through Dansville, Fremont, Cohocton, Avoca, Wheeler, Prattsburgh, Urbana, Pulteney, Wayne, and Wayland.
