County officials in the Finger Lakes are preparing to take a closer look at the future of public safety infrastructure, as lawmakers schedule a special session to review new developments in an ongoing facilities discussion.
The Yates County Legislature has announced it will convene a special meeting on April 8 in Penn Yan, where legislators will hear a detailed presentation tied to a proposed public safety facility project.
The session will center on findings and recommendations from the county’s Ad Hoc Public Safety Facility Committee, a group tasked with evaluating the condition of existing infrastructure and identifying long-term solutions. The meeting, scheduled for 1 p.m. at the county office building on Liberty Street, will be open to the public, with virtual attendance options available for residents unable to attend in person.
