A Steuben County man is facing multiple felony charges following a burglary investigation, according to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities report that 42-year-old Zachary J. Folts of Wayland was arrested on April 3 after deputies investigated a reported domestic incident. During the investigation, law enforcement alleges that Folts unlawfully entered a residence, forcibly took property from a victim, and caused damage inside the home.
Folts has been charged with burglary in the second degree, a class C felony; robbery in the third degree, a class D felony; aggravated family offense, a class E felony; and criminal mischief in the fourth degree.
Following his arrest, Folts was arraigned in centralized arraignment court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail without bail.
Officials have not released additional details about the victim or the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
