Penn Yan Police arrested Courtney L. Bason, 33, of Wayne, NY for Aggravated DWI, DWI .08% BAC or Greater, Driving While Intoxicated and Open Container. Bason was arrested after officers were checking on a vehicle parked in Red Jacket Park after closing hours. While speaking to Bason she displayed several signs of intoxication and was placed through standardized field sobriety tests which she failed. Bason was taken into custody and transported to the Yates County Jail where she submitted to a chemical test which showed her BAC to be .18%. Bason was transported to the Penn Yan Police Department and processed before being released on tickets to appear in village court at a later date.
