Congratulations to our Chamber Member of the Month Penn Yan Public Library
Founded in 1895, the Penn Yan Public Library (PYPL) continues to be a hub for learning, connection, and community. Housed in a historic Carnegie building, the library is preparing for exciting multi-year upgrades to create a more welcoming, modern, and accessible space for all. Coming soon to the PYPL website are contribution opportunities, including participation in an accessibility focus group, room and furnishing naming donation possibilities, and a special round of commemorative brick sales. Schematics are available for viewing at the library.
From storytimes and summer reading to yoga, genealogy groups, arts programs, and community events, PYPL truly offers something for every age and interest. Last year alone, nearly 5,800 people participated in youth and family programs!
Don’t miss the Books & Bikes Festival on June 27, a kickoff to Summer Reading featuring free books, bike helmets, activities, and family fun.
Beyond books, the library provides WiFi hotspots, public computers, meeting spaces, e-resources, community programming, and so much more.
