Additional details have emerged following the arrest of “Street Outlaws” star David Comstock, also known as “Daddy Dave,” in Steuben County earlier this week.
According to TMZ, Bath Village Police Chief Donald Lewis said investigators believe Comstock allegedly placed a GPS tracking device underneath a vehicle belonging to the alleged victim. Police reportedly reviewed Ring camera footage that allegedly showed Comstock reaching underneath the vehicle and attaching the device.
Authorities said the alleged victim contacted police Tuesday night after discovering possible tampering with the vehicle and reportedly recognized Comstock from the home surveillance footage. Chief Lewis told TMZ that officers later located the GPS tracking device attached to the vehicle during the investigation.
TMZ also reported that Comstock contacted the Bath Village Police Department around the same time and met voluntarily with investigators. Police said he cooperated fully during the investigation prior to his arrest.
Following his arraignment, a judge issued a restraining order directing Comstock to have no contact with the alleged victim. Police have not publicly identified a motive in the case.
