CORNING NY – Southern Finger Lakes Pride will host its 7th Annual Pride Festival Weekend in downtown Corning on June 12 and 13. Organizers say this year’s theme, “We Bloomed Anyway,” celebrates the resilience, growth, and joy of LGBTQ+ individuals and communities throughout the region. The free event will take place in Corning’s Gaffer District and is expected to feature live performances, local artists, community organizations, food vendors, music, dancing, and family-friendly activities. The festival has grown into one of the Southern Tier’s largest annual celebrations of LGBTQ+ pride and inclusion.
Festival events are scheduled throughout the weekend, beginning with community gatherings and entertainment on Friday and continuing with the main Pride Festival on Saturday. Organizers say the event is designed to create a welcoming space for people of all backgrounds while highlighting local resources, advocacy groups, and businesses that support the LGBTQ+ community. Southern Finger Lakes Pride officials encourage residents and visitors alike to attend and participate in the celebration of diversity, acceptance, and community connection.
