Leading Together: Multi-Agency Corrections Supervision Course
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office recently hosted a Corrections Supervision course designed to enhance leadership and supervisory skills among correctional professionals. The training brought together members from the Allegany, Chemung, Livingston, Seneca, Steuben, and Tompkins County Sheriff’s Offices for an engaging and informative learning experience.
Throughout the course, participants explored a variety of leadership topics, including effective communication, team building, conflict resolution, employee development, ethical decision-making, performance management, and strategies for fostering a positive workplace culture. The training also addressed the challenges of leading through change, managing workplace stress, and promoting accountability and professionalism within correctional environments. By sharing experiences and best practices, attendees gained valuable tools to strengthen their leadership abilities and enhance the effectiveness of their agencies
