We are thrilled to announce the release of our first ever vintage of Sauvignon Blanc. Early feedback from our Vista Club members was very encouraging so we are overjoyed to share this latest release with everyone now. With notes of flint, passionfruit, and crisp green apple through a saline, almost smoky core, it is a dream alongside fresh summer food.
Vineyard Notes
This marks our inaugural release of Sauvignon Blanc, a variety beautifully suited to the cool-climate conditions of the Finger Lakes. Fruit was sourced primarily from Nutt Road Vineyards, a historic site on the western shore of Seneca Lake whose gentle slope, steady airflow, and lake-moderated temperatures encourage slow, even ripening.
The Loire Valley is widely considered the benchmark and spiritual home of Sauvignon Blanc, and the Finger Lakes’ cool continental climate, lake-moderated temperatures, and shale and limestone-influenced soils mirror those conditions closely.
Plantings across the region have grown noticeably over the past decade, and we are proud to add our voice to that emerging chorus with this debut.
The wine was fermented entirely in stainless steel to safeguard freshness, primary fruit, and the site’s mineral signature, with no oak influence to mask the variety’s expressive character.
