Keuka College Men’s Basketball: Six Wolves Earn NABC Honors Court

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – Six Keuka College Men’s Basketball student-athletes were named to the 2025-26 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court.

Akinlana Popoola, Brennan Hopkins, Chase Welch, Kevin Felasco, Marcus Reed and Ty LaBarge earned the academic honor from the national organization. As a team, Keuka College received the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award after finishing the year with a 3.08 team grade point average.

Ty LaBarge played in 27 games off the bench for Keuka College in his third season with the Wolves. Following Keuka College’s Empire 8 Championship victory over SUNY Brockport, LaBarge was named the Empire 8 Torchbearer Award recipient. The award is presented to the student-athlete participating in the championship game with the highest cumulative grade point average. The sport management major finished the year with a 3.88 cumulative GPA.

Kevin Felasco joined the Wolves this season as a graduate student. He appeared in 25 games with seven starts for the Green and Gold. Pursuing his master’s degree in leadership, Felasco finished with a 3.97 cumulative grade point average.

Akinlana Popoola served as a team captain in his second season with the Wolves. The senior started 25 games at point guard and finished second on the team in scoring, averaging 13.5 points per game while adding 50 assists on the year. Popoola earned Third Team All-Empire 8 honors and was recognized as an honorable mention by the United States Basketball Writers Association. The marketing major posted a cumulative GPA of 3.47.

Chase Welch played his first healthy season with the Wolves after missing the previous year due to injury. He played a key role off the bench, averaging 15 minutes per game. The sport management major finished the year with a 3.31 cumulative grade point average.

Marcus Reed completed his second season with the Green and Gold, appearing in 26 games with four starts. Reed recorded a season-high 15 points against St. John Fisher, shooting 63% from the field and 67% from three-point range. The management major ended his senior campaign with a cumulative GPA of 3.31.

Brennan Hopkins finished his third season with the Wolves, appearing in 18 games off the bench. He recorded a career performance against RIT, setting career highs with 10 points and five rebounds.

The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize programs that completed the 2025-26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court recognizes junior, senior and graduate student men’s basketball players who finished the academic year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
