AUBURN – Authorities in Cayuga County are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a 14-year-old youth who went missing earlier this week.
The Auburn Police Department reported that La’Meir Holmes was reported missing from Cayuga Centers, situated at 202 Franklin Street in the City of Auburn. Investigators believe Holmes ran away from the facility and may have traveled to Syracuse, where he originally resides, though his current location remains unconfirmed.
Law enforcement officials have released the following details to assist in identifying the missing teen:
- Physical Description: Holmes is described as a Black male, standing 5 feet tall and weighing approximately 87 pounds.
- Last Known Attire: He was last seen wearing a black shirt, tan shorts, and black sneakers.
- Potential Destination: While missing from Auburn, police note he has ties to Syracuse and may be in that area.
