Keuka Spring Vineyards / September 1, 2026
It is officially here! We are thrilled to introduce our newest sparkling wine, the 2024 Winemakers Reserve Brut, crafted entirely from estate-grown Grüner Veltliner and made in the traditional Méthode Champenoise.
Ten months en tirage brought added depth and complexity while preserving the bright natural acidity and distinctive character of Grüner Veltliner. We are excited to share it with you.
Vineyard Notes
Our Brut is crafted entirely from Grüner Veltliner, Austria’s signature white variety and one that has found a natural home in the cool-climate conditions of the Finger Lakes. Our fruit is estate-grown on the bluff of Keuka Lake, harvested on August 29, 2024 at a deliberately early stage of ripeness, a decision that preserves the natural acidity and low pH that form the backbone of fine sparkling wine. Grüner Veltliner rewards this restraint, offering a base wine of both precision and personality; citrus and orchard fruit underpinned by the variety’s gentle signature of white pepper and spice.
In honoring the Finger Lakes’ distinction as the birthplace of traditional method sparkling wine in the Western Hemisphere, we crafted this wine in the time-honored Méthode Champenoise. Berries were gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel. Bottled in the spring of 2025, the wine rested ten months en tirage, developing depth, texture, and fine autolytic complexity prior to riddling and disgorgement.
Tasting Notes
This wine opens with the unmistakable character of Grüner Veltliner: crisp green apple and lemon zest lifted by a subtle note of white pepper and fresh herb. Ten months en tirage lends a quiet undercurrent of toasted brioche and almond. On the palate, a fine and persistent mousse carries flavors of orchard fruit and citrus, held in beautiful tension by the wine’s bright natural acidity.
Food Pairing
Raw oysters, tinned fish, fresh chèvre, or herb-driven spring dishes are exceptional companions for this delicate sparkling wine.
