GENEVA, NY – Rochester Regional Health (RRH) is pleased to welcome Edwin Jimenez, MD, to its general surgery team. Dr. Jimenez is now accepting new patients at RRH’s general surgery offices in both Clifton Springs and Geneva locations, where he provides comprehensive surgical care with a focus on minimally invasive techniques.

As a board-certified general surgeon, Dr. Jimenez specializes in minimally invasive robotic and laparoscopic surgery, as well as endoscopy and colonoscopy. His areas of expertise include the evaluation and treatment of general surgical conditions, hernias and hiatal hernias, gallbladder disease, and soft tissue lumps and lipomas.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Rochester Regional Health and starting this next chapter in the Finger Lakes,” said Dr. Jimenez. “Surgery can be an intimidating experience for patients, and I want every person I care for to feel that they have a surgeon who listens, answers their questions, and is truly in their corner. Dr. Jimenez earned his Doctor of Medicine from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and completed a Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship at Jackson South Medical Center in Miami. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons.
Originally from Ecuador, Dr. Jimenez moved to New York as a teenager and completed his surgical residency in Florida. Dr. Jimenez speaks both English and Spanish. Outside of medicine, Dr. Jimenez enjoys spending time with his family and watching soccer.
