Yates County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Kevin Crofoot will be this Bloodhound’s new partner

The members of the Yates County Sheriff’s Office would like to welcome K9 Hobie to our team, and congratulate Deputy Kevin Crofoot on his appointment as the newest K9 Handler!
Hobie is a pure bred Bloodhound, the first in many years for YCSO. Hobie will be assigned to the YCSO Road Patrol Division, primarily focusing on trailing and tracking for the agency.
Deputy Crofoot and Hobie have begun a rigorous training program, which requires meeting New York State and nationally recognized K9 Handling standards to become a certified team.
The purchase of Hobie, similar to other YCSO K9s, is completely funded by community donations. We appreciate those donors that made this purchase possible!
