STEUBEN COUNTY, NY — The Steuben County Hall of Fame, under the direction of the Steuben County Historian, proudly announces its 2026 Induction Class, marking the 50th anniversary of the program.
To celebrate this milestone, the Hall of Fame Committee selected eight inductees—double the typical number of annual honorees. The 2026 class includes:
- Ellen S. McDowell Oliver
- Mayor Joseph Nasser
- Chairman Joseph Haruyski
- Joseph Meade III
- Rep. Frank C. Platt
- Dr. Paul Wolfgruber
- Dr. James D. Folts, Jr.
- Dr. Karol Wight
A private induction ceremony will take place in November, in Corning, NY, for the inductees, their families, and invited guests. Following the celebration, each honoree’s framed portrait and biography will be permanently displayed on the Hall of Fame wall, located on the second floor of the Steuben County Office Headquarters.

Established in 1976 by the Steuben County Legislature, the Hall of Fame recognizes individuals from Steuben County who have made a lasting impact locally, nationally, or globally. The Steuben County Historian’s Office oversees the Hall of Fame Committee, which selects inductees from public nominations.

The County Historian preserves and collects historic materials, documents, and maps detailing the rich heritage of Steuben County. The office is located inside the Steuben County History Center on the main floor of the Magee House (at the intersection of West Morris Street and Cameron Street) in Bath, NY, adjacent to the Dormann Library.
