Samantha Ann Yeaples, 47, Angelica

Samantha Ann Yeaples, brave and loving mom, grandma, aunt, godmother, sister, a silent warrior.

Samantha Ann Yeaples, 47, of Angelica, NY, passed away unexpectedly Saturday (October 10th, 2026) at Jones Memorial

Hospital. After being transported to the ER for chest pain, she suffered from sudden heart failure that they could not save her from. She was surrounded by hospital staff and her two sons, Derrick and Evan, when she passed during emergency surgery. She actively had an order of protection placed against her husband, Eric Yeaples (58), when she passed away and was actively seeking a divorce from him through court proceedings.

Born in Sulphur Springs, Arkansas, Samantha unfortunately never knew who her biological father was. Her biological mother, Marlene (Bean) Yeaples raised her with Samantha’s father figure, Arthur Yeaples, various siblings, and family in Missouri before moving up to Moody Hollow, PA while in middle school. Samantha finished high school and graduated from Otto-Eldred in 1998 with her lifelong friends. Samantha got married on August 10th, 2000, and gave birth to her first son, Derrick, in 2001. During that time and the years following, Samantha worked at The Cattaraugus Rehabilitation

Center in Olean, now known as Intandem, where her passion for helping others thrived, while also helping raise her stepson, Joshua Yeaples.  In 2006, Samantha gave birth to her second son, Evan and soon after moved to Angelica, NY,

where she lived for the next 20 years. Samantha worked diligently towards getting her LPN license, that she officially received in 2012 while balancing her schooling and being the best mom. Samantha welcomed her first grandchild,

Allison, daughter of Joshua, to the world in 2014 where Samantha became one of the most positive role models in her life.

Samantha, during that time, worked at Olean General Hospital where she was an LPN in the pain management department. During the covid pandemic, Samantha suffered from a car accident that forced her to get surgery on her neck and spine. Samantha was strong and still worked hard as a 4.0 honor student earning her associate’s degree in Medical Billing & Coding online at Bryant & Stratton College in 2024. Afterwards, Samantha spent her final days working from home as a Medicare Representative from Alignment Health based in California. Samantha cherished and adored the time she had with her boys, granddaughter, soul sisters, and close family and will be forever missed.

Samantha Ann Yeaples lives on through her two sons, Derrick Yeaples and Evan Yeaples, her stepson Joshua Yeaples, her granddaughter Allison Yeaples, her brother Lewis (Betsy) Yeaples, her nieces Haley & Sierra Yeaples, soul sisters Bridget,

Cheyanne (Aaron), Michelle, Stephanie, Angela (Dan), several other siblings, nieces and nephews, her mother-in-law, and all her lost boys and girls she loved and claimed as her own.  Her inspiration and light continue to live on in everyone she loved.

A Celebration of Life will be held by her sons on a later date. Contact Derrick and Evan to send your support and for future details.
