The crimes appear to be tied to regional string of retail burglaries

The Yates County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two burglaries that occurred in the overnight/early morning hours at two separate businesses in the recent past in the Town of Jerusalem, Yates County, New York. These break-ins appear to be part of a larger investigation with multiple jurisdictions involved. The investigation in on-going at this time. We ask anyone with information regarding these burglaries to contact investigators at the Sheriff’s Office by calling 315-536-4438.
We also ask citizens in the Branchport area for their assistance in reporting any suspicious activity they observe by calling 315-536-4438 or 911 if it is an emergency 24 hours a day.
