The annual Strong Kids Safe Kids event returns to Bath on September 21, promoting child safety with fun activities and resources.
Bath, N.Y. — The annual Strong Kids Safe Kids event is making its return to the Steuben County Fairgrounds on Saturday, September 21, from noon to 3 p.m. This free community event is designed to promote children’s health and safety and is open to all families in Steuben County, with no eligibility requirements to attend.
This year’s festival promises a variety of engaging activities, including a bike helmet giveaway, fitness challenges, a kids’ farm market, a climbing wall, and inflatable attractions. Children can also enjoy the popular Hands on a Truck event, where they can explore ambulances, fire trucks, tractors, and more. In addition to these activities, parents will have the opportunity to connect with over 25 local agencies and businesses that provide resources for families.
Prior to the festivities, families are encouraged to arrive early for a car seat check event hosted by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police Department, Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee, and Healthy Families-Steuben. This will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. near the main gate on East Washington Street. Now in its 14th year, Strong Kids Safe Kids typically draws around 2,000 attendees, making it a key event for community engagement and child safety awareness.
