The Steuben County Public Health Department has released updated overdose data for November 2024. According to the report, 17 overdoses were recorded in the county, with no fatalities reported. Additionally, Narcan was administered in four cases.

Of the 17 overdose incidents, three were suspected to involve opioids. Five cases identified other substances as the likely cause, including methamphetamine, alcohol, and cocaine. Nine records did not specify a substance or were inaccessible for a complete review.

Steuben County Public Health and its partners continue to promote and enact new initiatives to further reduce substance use in the area.”
