New Youth Services Center Opens in Bath, Offering Workshops and Resources

A new resource for young people has arrived in Bath, with the opening of The Center for Youth Services at 115 Liberty Street, inside the Community Services Building. The center aims to provide support, education, and career guidance through a series of workshops and events tailored for youth in the region.

A new resource for young people has arrived in Bath, with the opening of The Center for Youth Services at 115 Liberty Street, inside the Community Services Building. The center aims to provide support, education, and career guidance through a series of workshops and events tailored for youth in the region.

To mark its launch, the center is hosting a lineup of engaging programs from Tuesday, February 18, through Friday, February 21, designed to equip young people with valuable skills and knowledge.

Upcoming Workshops:

  • MASH Camp for Healthcare Career Exploration – Presented by the WNY Rural Area Health Education Center, this session will introduce participants to careers in healthcare. (Tuesday, February 18, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
  • Teen Mental Health First Aid – Led by the Institute for Human Services (IHS), this workshop will educate teens on how to recognize and respond to mental health challenges among their peers. (Wednesday, February 19, 11:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
  • “Little Red” Video & Youth Human Trafficking Discussion – Hosted by the Child Advocacy Center, this presentation aims to raise awareness about human trafficking and its impact on young people. (Thursday, February 20, 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM)
  • Finding Your Career Path – CSS Workforce NY will offer insights on career planning and job opportunities for youth. (Friday, February 21, 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM)

In addition to these workshops, the Steuben County Youth Bureau will hold daily open houses from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM throughout the week. Visitors can tour the facility, explore available resources, and connect with representatives from local organizations.
