The members of the Yates County Sheriff’s Office would like to congratulate our four recently graduated Correction Officers. Officer Zachary Brennan, Officer Evelyn Buisch, Officer Jonathan Cramer, and Officer Jonathan Barrett. These officers graduated from the Finger Lakes Law Enforcement Academy’s Correction Academy Class #1, enduring 12 weeks of training. This training covered topics including reality based training, emergency vehicle operation, firearms qualifications, physical fitness, and general topics instruction. We are very proud of our officers and their accomplishments making it through this rigorous training and representing Yates County.
A career in Corrections can often be a difficult one, and we thank them all for standing up to the task. Often not recognized, the Correction Officers are the true unsung hero’s of the law enforcement field, dealing with people at their lowest point, all day, each and every day they come to work.
