Today, Dr. Weyand and our Optometry Team received a National HeRO Award for their outstanding work on suicide screening. Their efforts demonstrate that no Veteran will be left behind by integrating suicide prevention care across all health care specialties.

Congratulations to our Optometry Team and thank you for the amazing work you are doing. The presentation occurred virtually as a part of the Semi-Annual National HeRO Award Ceremony. The HeRO Award is the highest level of High Reliability Organization (HRO) recognition within VHA.
