The Yates County Sheriff Office would like to recognize Deputy Alyssah Newell for accomplishments in aiding the Civil Division as well as performance in crime prevention.
Deputy Newel came to the Sheriff’s Office in 2022 as a Deputy Sheriff. During 2023 Deputy Newell made 77 attempts at civil process, the most of any Deputy Sheriff. Deputy Newell is also recognized for exceptional work in property checks and crime prevention.
Deputy Newell conducted a total of 53 property checks, and 156 crime prevention checks. Crime prevention checks are conducted when a Deputy Sheriff checks commercial properties and places of business to verify they are secure and have not been broken into.
Deputy Newell was nominated for this recognition by her Sergeant, Charles Emerson. We thank Alyssah for her exceptional work ethic and diligence in performance of her duty to public safety.
